When you visit our church, you will find:
In 2007, Pastor Mike Haggard had a vision for Hill Baptist Church. That he would become the mission ground of a new church.
This church would address the needs of the rural community in which he has stood for many years.
Farmers, ranchers, folks of rodeoing and roping, are usually very busy on any givin morning and can't get to church.
At the time, we had Wed. night meal and Bible study. A good thing, Yes, but we knew if we wanted attention, we needed NEW.
So a new night was established, Thursday, 7:00pm and we would have a covered dish theme for each Thursday night. The first Cowboy Church service was Oct. 4, 2007.
The first service had 20 in attendance. The second, 25 and our third, 45 and God has been blessing and blessing ever since.
We wanted County gospel and country western theme. We were blessed that the Lord brought us Terry and Susie Staley and their son Kevin. Terry play's the guitar and Susie sings and they bring just what we needed. Country western Gospel
Now they have an addition, April Johnson, and a new name, "Amen", and God gets all the glory.
We have been very blessed to host a number of award winning talents in the past years, including Branded, Halo Jordan,Desert Reign, and the Alaskan String Band.
Pastor Haggard only stayed with us a short time and had to retire due to health issues, but before he left he made sure there was a proper sheppard for the new and growing flock.
Pastor Bill Johnson is now the sheppard and the little cowboy church in the north valley is growing and thriving.
You are welcome and encouraged to come join us for a wonderful time of good food for the body, spirt and soul.
First time visitors need not bring anything but an appetite and a longing for the kind of love and fellowship not easily found these days.
Boots and hats and jeans and casual wear are welcome. You can even ride your horse over, because we have a hitching rail.
Because of Him,
Terry Staley & Amen
This wonderful group also plays and sings with the congregation on Heavenly Highway Mornings which is the last Sunday of each month.
